Why this exists
Lists are useful. Mystery lists are not. FoodRateKing aims to combine the scan-ability of a ranking with the accountability of a documented review: clear categories, explicit criteria, tasting context, limits, and corrections.
What we are today
We are at the foundation stage. The approved starting map covers coffee, pizza, burgers, tacos, snacks, candy, cereal, ice cream, fast food, and hot sauce. Coffee has the first visible category framework, but it is one lane under the broader FoodRateKing umbrella. No editorial winner has been named. We will not borrow authority from fabricated testimonials, inflated rating counts, or a history we have not earned.
What we want to become
A practical reference for people deciding what to eat and drink—organized one coherent category at a time. Community perspective can broaden the picture, while editorial conclusions remain identifiable and accountable.
Our promises
- Do not sell ranking positions.
- Label ads, affiliates, samples, and sponsorships.
- Keep editorial and community scores distinct.
- Explain category eligibility, criteria, and limitations.
- Provide a visible route for corrections.
- Say “not enough evidence” when that is the honest answer.
Ownership and domains
FoodRateKing.com is the canonical home. CoffeeRateKing.com is intended to redirect to the coffee category, and FoodRateKing.food is a defensive redirect to the main site. Category authority and policies remain on one canonical domain.
