Building the first coffee ranking in public

Coffee, without the fog.

No ranking is published yet. Nominate a coffee while the rubric, product set, tasting protocol, and evidence standard are built in public.

No products are shown because no verified testing set or evidence review is complete.

  6. Not started

    First publication

The first ranking will include its rubric version, evidence, limits, disclosures, and correction path.

Proposed evaluation frame

Four lenses, defined before tasting.

Weights are intentionally pending. We will publish and date the final rubric before applying it.

Flavor & balance

Clarity, sweetness, acidity, bitterness, body, finish, and whether the cup works as intended.

Consistency

Results across repeated preparations, lots, or visits—not one lucky cup.

$

Value in context

Price relative to quality, format, serving size, and comparable choices.

The leaderboard

No entries yet. On purpose.

01

Rubric and eligibility

Define whether a list covers beans, ready-to-drink coffee, chains, local cafes, or a specific subcategory. Unlike items should not be forced into one table.

02

Documented tasting

Capture roast date, brew method, water, dose, grind, location, price, and repeat observations where applicable.

03

Publication and challenge

Release evidence, disclosures, and limitations with the ranking, then keep a correction path open.
